SW News: An American priest who survived five days in intensive care with COVID-19 says he was sustained throughout by the power of prayer and, especially, the holy rosary.

Father Ryan Riley of the Diocese of Lansing in Michigan was admitted to hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19 related hypoxia and severe dehydration on Friday of last week.

Now in self-isolation and recovering at home, the young priest says that the holy rosary continually brought him solace and strength during his time in the ICU at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

He also expressed great gratitude to the hospital chaplain who anointed him with the sacrament of the sick, to his medical team and to the thousands upon thousands of people who prayed for him across the globe after hearing of his plight on social media.
