New Jersey prepares for 19th annual Bridgefest spiritual gathering

SW News: For the past 20 years, families have gathered at the New Jersey shore to participate in the Bridgefest, an event that brings people closer to God through teachings and music.
This historic beach town once again will this year host the two-day Christian festival, Bridgefest, on June 23 and 24. Since the 1800s, Ocean Grove in New Jersey, sometimes known as "God's Square Mile," has been a well-known Christian gathering area.
The Bridge Christian Radio, a radio ministry based out of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, New Jersey, organizes Bridgefest each year. Families, clergy members, and various Church congregations come to Bridgefest from across the country to hear the Good News of Jesus. Visitors can participate in Bible preaching, boardwalk games, food trucks, kid's activities, a Friday night concert, and much more throughout the event.
The Bridge Christian Radio began broadcasting on June 27, 2003, and ever since then, it has shared the Good News of Jesus Christ around the clock every day. The station's potential audience is 7-8 million people, including those in New York City.
As a courageous act of devotion to God, Pastor Lloyd Pulley, his wife, and their children moved from California to New Jersey in 1984 to start Calvary Chapel Old Bridge. The congregation is a part of the Calvary Chapel Church Movement founded by Pastor Chuck Smith, which in Southern California during the 1960s and 1970s led to one of the most significant spiritual awakenings in American history.
“We The Kingdom”, a band with three Dove Award wins and two Grammy nominations, will perform at the 129-year-old Great Auditorium concert this year. The performance for this summer is slated to feature a keynote address by Pastor Garid Beeler of Irvine, California's Vision City Church.
On the event's last day, hundreds of attendees swarm to observe the beach baptism where many openly declare their inner transformation. According to Robert Baltodano, manager of The Bridge Christian Radio, "Over the years, Bridgefest has kept track of almost 3,000 publicly confessed baptisms."
