SW News: With prayers on their lips and banners and placards in hand, thousands of Catholic believers descended on the premises of Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium on Friday to protest against the Pride Night organized by the Los Angeles Dodgers during which they honored the anti-Catholic Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Catholic believers were told to meet at a parking lot near the stadium before proceeding to the venue. Just two hours before the event began, they began gathering on the sidewalks and even blocked one of the entrances.

Many were heard saying the rosary as they gathered to show their protest against the baseball team and the group which mocks the Catholic faith in public. Joining the protesters was the organization Catholics for Catholics. The group had earlier described the Sisters as “Godless” and “Christ-mocking”. Members of the organization also held a procession before the event began in the stadium.
Catholics for Catholics also posted an article on its website welcoming everyone to take part in the protest against the group of transvestite men who masquerade as nuns, mocking the Catholic faith and consecrated women. "All are welcome to join this event in reparation for the offenses committed against our Lord Jesus Christ and against all Christians by 'The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,'" said the article.

Earlier, the Sisters had announced that they had no issues with any groups protesting in public. Two members of the group were present in the stadium to accept the Dodgers community hero award from the team.

The Sisters describe themselves as a “leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns". They often take part in public events during which they mock Christian beliefs.  Earlier this month, there were protests from Catholic organizations and Republican leaders after the Los Angeles Dodgers announced their decision to re-invite the Sisters for the Pride event and felicitate them.
