SW News: A US-based organization named Catholic Vote urged Catholics to join a nine-day novena to St Michael the Archangel seeking protection for churches and pregnancy centers, which have been the target of attacks by vandals and pro-abortion supporters in recent times.

Brian Burch, president of the Catholic Vote, in a video talked about the novena starting on September 20 and ending on the 29th, the feast day of the Holy Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael.

In the video, the organization's president said that in the upcoming midterm election in the US, Americans could send a clear message that the people were “enough” with what has happened in the country. “As Catholics, before we go to the polls, we go to the cross,” Burch added.

“The pro-abortion movement has declared war on churches and pro-life organizations because they strongly oppose the killing of priceless, innocent children who already have a beating heart and who may experience pain,” Burch told the media.

“Through her intercession and protection, we hope that defenders of life will be able to continue their work of saving lives without harm,” he said.
The Catholic organization also appealed to the pro-life organizations that suffered severe attacks ranging from firebombing to vandalism, to participate in the novena to fight the violence in the country.

He also condemned the Biden administration for not reacting to the attacks on churches and health care centers. According to Catholic Vote, the “violence really gained steam in early May with the leak of the Dobbs decision. Since then, there have been over 45 attacks on Catholic churches and 62 attacks including firebombing on pregnancy resource centers across 26 States.”
