USA’s Denver Archdiocese issues guidance on transgender students

SW News: Defending Catholic values in the US State of Colorado, the Denver Archdiocese has instructed local schools not to enroll transgender or gender non-conforming children. In addition, the archdiocese issued a document calling schools not to re-enroll current trans and gender non-conforming students.
According to the 17-page document obtained and first reported by the Denver Post, students are called to act and be treated in line with their biological sex, and a Catholic school cannot treat gay parents as "similar to the natural family."
The Archdiocese claimed that the Church could not accept progressive gender views because "the spread of gender ideology presents a danger to the faith of Christians."
A Catholic school, according to the document titled 'Guidance for Issues Concerning the Human Person and Sexual Identity', "cannot affirm a student's identity as transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary, gender-fluid, gender-queer, or any other term that rejects the reality of the student's given male or female sexual identity."
The document, published in 2019, includes a series of questions and responses on potential scenarios, one of which is whether or not to accept a transgender student.
Starting with concepts like gender, gender identity, sex, gender dysphoria, and transgender that are "incompatible" with Christian anthropology and can cause a great deal of confusion, the guideline then lists terminology teachers shouldn't use in the classroom. The phrase "marriage" and the terms "sexual identity" are encouraged by the archdiocese.
In the meantime, the document also urged the schools to demonstrate compassion for gay and transgender students. It stated that ministering to LGBTQ students should be carried out with "charity and prudence," asserting God's love and remaining faithful to the church doctrine.
The document met with criticisms from various organizations.
