SW News: Archbishop Eamon Martin of Armagh, in his Sunday homily said that the coronavirus pandemic had brought many people “closer to God.” According to the archbishop, “Our forced seclusion and restricted personal freedoms have certainly reminded us all that we are not invincible and we are far from being in control of everything; we are actually quite dependent – on others and on God.” He said he had been impressed by the outreach of the parishioners in distributing groceries and medicines. The archbishop said he was sure that many people were drawing closer to God, realizing their lives has been unsatisfying at a deep level. He stated that not only physical health is important, but also our mental, emotional and spiritual health.
