SW News: "From the Depths of Our Hearts", a book written by Cardinal Robert Sarah, prefect of the Congregation for Divine worship with a contribution from Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI was published in French on January 15. An English edition of the same will be released by Ignatius Press on February 20. In the new book, they defend priestly celibacy, an issue that was discussed at last year's Amazon synod. In a statement, Ignatius Press said that through this new book, Cardinal Sarah and the former pontiff “give their brother priests and the whole Church a message of hope” and “honestly address the spiritual challenges faced by priests today, including struggles of celibacy.” Ignatius Press founder, Father Joseph Fessio said that the book also discusses the nature of the Church and of Christian discipleship.
