SW News: Pontifical charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) will be organizing a campaign to celebrate Masses throughout Spain for benefactors of this organization who died last year and also for their relatives from
November 9 to 19.

As many as 40 Masses will be offered in different Spanish towns for the deceased benefactors to which everyone is invited. Believers can attend the Masses in person or view them through live streaming. The benefactors will be remembered with gratitude during the Mass for all that they have done for the persecuted Church through ACN.

In this annual campaign organized by the pontifical foundation, where masses are celebrated,  they also pray "for the deceased relatives of benefactors, for all those people who die alone with no one to pray for them, and for those who are giving their lives to be Christians."

Even though the campaign begins on November 9, most of the scheduled Masses will take place the following day in Gijón, Granada, Madrid and Zaragoza and they can be watched on YouTube. Timings of each celebration will be accessible through the Aid to the Church in Need website.

ACN already runs a campaign called “Offer a Mass”, by which they intend to help a priest serving in the “adverse places” in the world through Mass stipends. In return, he offers a Mass praying for the intentions of those who have given the money.

"The Holy Eucharist is the most precious gift we can give and share with others" and its value is infinite, ACN said. According to their website, “Every 9th priest in the world is supported by Aid to the Church in Need Mass Stipends; every 22 seconds a Mass is celebrated around the world for the intentions of an ACN donor.”

In 2021, over 50,000 priests benefited from these mass stipends.
