SW News: Rehema Kyomuhendo, a 24-old woman living in Uganda was burned by her Muslim father for accepting Christianity, reported Morning Star News.

Kyomuhendo first heard about Jesus through Christian radio programs at her aunt’s house in Mbale district.

Kyomuhendo learned about Christ and the way of salvation from a Catholic business friend of her father and accepted Christianity.

Her father, Sheikh Hussein was outraged at this news and planning to kill her, poured burning fuel on Kyomuhendo.

Though out of danger, Kyomuhendo would need at least one-month treatment for serious burns on several parts of her body.

Uganda’s constitution and other laws provide for religious freedom, including the right to propagate one’s faith. Nevertheless, Christian persecutions are growing in the country at an alarming rate.
