SW News: Cardinal Timothy Dolan has condemned the recent attacks on Jewish people in New York. A Jewish scholar’s family was attacked recently when a man with knife broke into his house where hundreds were gathered to celebrate the seventh night of Hanukkah. The suspect started stabbing that left five people critically injured, one of them being the Rabbi’s son. The incident took place on Saturday night at 10 pm in Monsey, New York. The suspect was arrested shortly after Sunday midnight. Condemning the attack strongly, Cardinal Dolan urged people from all sections to come together and fight against such heinous crime. He also extended solidarity to the victims and offered special prayers for the family. Cardinal Dolan in his statement said that “an attack on any individual or group because of his or her religious beliefs is an attack on us all. This hatred has no place in our city, state, or nation, or anywhere else on our planet.”
