Cardinal Vincent Nichols offers Holy Mass for frontline health workers

SW News: In the Holy Mass celebrated for the frontline health workers of the pandemic on April 23, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster Diocese thanked the NHS staff and care workers for their selfless service. As a token of gratitude to the frontline workers, the Catholic Church of England has decided to celebrate Holy Mass every Thursday at 7 pm. The Holy Mass will be celebrated by a bishop from one of the cathedrals around the country. Cardinal Vincent Nichols marked the beginning of the Holy Eucharistic celebration for the health workers from the Westminster Cathedral on April 23, the solemnity of St George, the patron saint of England. During the Holy Mass, the archbishop thanked the health care providers for their commitment in fighting the pandemic. He called the faithful to keep their eyes on the unwavering presence of God amidst the pandemic. Cardinal Vincent Nichols also prayed for those suffering from the effects of this dreadful virus, and for those who have died and for their grieving families and friends.
