SW News: US President Donald Trump addressed the nation on Good Friday from the White House.

He said that at this holy time, the nation is battling an invisible enemy. He appreciated the brave doctors, nurses and first responders who were fighting to save lives.

Trump acknowledged the hard work of those engaged in supplying critical medical supplies and the efforts of the scientists to develop lifesaving therapeutics. “Our people are making tremendous sacrifice to end this pandemic,” said the President.

He encouraged everyone to use the sacred time to focus on prayer, reflection and growing in personal relationship with God.

“I ask all Americans to pray that God will heal our nation, to bring comfort to those who are grieving, to give strength to the doctors, nurses and healthcare workers, to restore the health of the sick and to renew the hope of every person that is suffering,” he said.

The President expressed confidence that America will come through the present crisis like never before, “We place our trust in the hands of the Almighty God.”
