SW News: US President Donald Trump has declared this Sunday, March 15, as a ‘National Day of Prayer’ amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer,” Trump tweeted.

"We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these," he added.

"No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!"

The official National Day of Prayer is observed every year in the United States on May 7.

The virus has killed at least 50 people in the United States.

More than 2329 people have been infected across the country. 41 people have recovered from COVID-19.

On Friday, Donald Trump declared the coronavirus pandemic a national emergency.
