The State of Kentucky passes law to protect babies born alive during abortion
News Desk
Wednesday, 27 Jan 2021
SW News: A bill requiring appropriate medical care for babies who survive attempted abortions has become law in the State of Kentucky. The so-called “Born Alive” legislation was passed by the Kentucky Legislature on January the 9th. It was then sent to the state’s Democratic Governor Andy Beshear for either veto or signature. As it happens, he opted to do neither and so, according to the standing orders on such matters, the bill automatically became law on January the 22nd. That, as it happens, was also the 48th anniversary of the US Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion across the United States.
