SW News: The mother church of the Archdiocese of Manila in the Philippines has reopened after being closed for six months due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception reopened its doors to worshippers on Wednesday but with a vastly reduced capacity. For the time being, only 80 people will be allowed to attend Holy Mass. That’s 10% of the church’s capacity. Face masks will also be mandatory. The cathedral clergy say people will be admitted to Holy Mass on a first come first served basis although those gathered outside during Sunday Mass will still be able to receive Holy Communion. All Masses will also be live-streamed via social media.
