Catholic men’s Rosary rally spreads like wildfire across Ireland and Northern Ireland

SW News: The Catholic men's Rosary rally, which started in Northern Ireland two years ago by Dr. Owen Gallagher and Patrick McCrystal, CEO of the pro-life organization Human Life International Ireland, is spreading like wildfire across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Currently, there are 22 locations hosting the rallies. The recent men's Rosary rally events saw the participation of hundreds of men. The active participation of men in the monthly rallies, held on the first Saturdays, points to the significant potential for evangelization through this initiative. For the organizers, an image from the men's Rosary rally in Poland served as the inspiration to start a similar Rosary initiative. The first rally took place on October 2, 2021, in Derry, with approximately 80 men participating. The second rally, held in Newry, saw the participation of 100 men. The following month's rally in Belfast had 150 participants.
Many spiritual transformations are said to be taking place in these Rosary rallies. “The men involved in the men's Rosary are from very diverse backgrounds—doctors, teachers, professors, tradesmen, boxers, ex-IRA and ex-prisoners, unemployed, etc. There is a great common bond between all these people that I have never witnessed before in such a diverse group of people and a great sense of camaraderie,” Dr. Owen told SW News.
When asked about the future plan for the Rosary initiative, he said, “Our Future plan in Ireland is to try and get the men's and women's Rosary in as many towns as possible.” “Since the men's Rosary spread into the English language it is spreading much more rapidly and we'd like to see it go global. Unfortunately, a lot of people including priests haven't heard of it, so we need to keep spreading the word,” Dr Owen added.
