SW News: An Italian pro-life and family group has denounced an attack on its office in Rome. The Pro Vita and Famiglia association’s headquarters faced acts of violence and insults on June 12. The attack came two days after a Pride demonstration in Rome where the leader of a homosexual group verbally abused the pro-life organization. They also demonstrated in front of the institute that promotes the sanctity of life from conception.

The president of the pro-life group Jacopo Coghe said that the demonstration and the statement by the leader of the homosexual group had been a breeding ground for the hate climate that triggered the attack against the office. In a tweet, Coghe said, “Once again here is #LGBTQIA intolerance who only knows how to insult, denigrate, threaten and wants to shut up anyone who thinks differently.”

The security gates of the headquarters were covered with graffiti in the Monday vandal attack. However, the pro-life leader asserted they would continue working for their objectives. Coghe added, “We will not be intimidated and will continue our actions in defense of Life, the family, educational freedom and children.”
