SW News: The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, in his daily military address on the 63rd day of the Russian aggression in Ukraine underscored the atrocities, especially sexual violence against children and women in the occupied territories.

Major Archbishop Shevchuk said that he’s been constantly receiving news about children being victimized in the occupied territories and reflected on the beatitudes in the Gospel, saying "Blessed are those who weep, for they will rejoice". He strengthened his flock by saying that blessed are those on whom the power of Christ rested.

The top prelate further said that believers are shedding tears not because of the difficulties they are enduring, but because of the presence of evil in the world. His Beatitude explained further saying that the “victory of the Risen Christ” must be manifested in the lives of Christians.

He emphasized and requested all to stand together against the evil that is happening against Ukraine and should work for its victory. Along with the people gathered there, he concluded by saying, “Christ is risen! We are from Ukraine! Truly resurrected!"

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is in Kyiv to hold discussions with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He is also slated to meet Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

On Tuesday, Guterres met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and it is reported that they discussed the possible evacuation of trapped civilians from the besieged Azovstal steel complex in the port city of Mariupol.

Meanwhile, a series of explosions were reported late on Wednesday near a television tower in the Ukrainian city of Kherson that is under Russian occupation.
