SW News: A Catholic church in Panama recently became the target of a diabolical desecration carried out by unknown vandals. The Maria Auxiliadora (Mary Help of Christians) Church in Bejuco in the district of Chame came under attack during which the sacred hosts were taken from the tabernacle and scattered on the floor.
Some of the sacred hosts were placed in a manner to form the words “Satan lives and Ariel, who according to Church tradition is one of the fallen angels. The perpetrators of this satanic act also turned the sacred statues of saints and angels upside down. There are reports that the doors and windows had not been forced open. It is also reported that it is the second attack on the church in a span of 60 days.

Fr Carlos Mejia, the vicar general of the Archdiocese of Panama, urged believers to take utmost care of Catholic places of worship and continue to fervently pray that the Lord enlightens the hearts of people who indulge in such diabolic activities. The priest was alluding to groups that practice satanism or witchcraft in the Latin American country.

In the Holy Bible, the word Ariel is used to refer to the City of Jerusalem and it means “lion of God”. However, those indulging in the occult believe that it is the name of a protective angel of nature. The name Ariel also appears in Book VI of Paradise Lost by famous English poet John Milton. For Satanists, Ariel is the devil and investigators believe that the invocation of this name in the Catholic sanctuary could mean that they could be behind this desecration.
