SW News: An 11-year-old pregnant girl in Bolivia, who sparked off a controversy after refusing to abort her baby, was forcibly made to terminate her pregnancy by a pro-abortion ombudsman on Saturday. The minor, who was six months pregnant and was lodged in a Catholic home for mothers until October 5, was forcibly taken from her mother to a hospital where she was made to undergo an abortion despite her wish to give birth to the baby.

It was pro-abortion ombudsman Nadia Cruz who forcibly took the girl from the Catholic home and admitted her to a hospital. Although she was carrying a six-month-old baby, Nadia made sure that the girl underwent an abortion. On Saturday, November 6, the baby was aborted at 2:10 pm local time at the San Juan de Dios (Saint John of God) hospital in Santa Cruz, according to the news agency, France24. They further stated that the girl was taken to another facility after the abortion.

Pro-life organization Citizen Platform condemned pro-abortion activist Nadia Cruz for forcing the girl to abort the baby against her will. Citizen Platform said that the minor girl’s child, whom she called José María, was born alive and left to die, adding that Nadia committed infanticide. They also pointed out the abortion law only refers to the embryo’s stage and not the fetus stage. They expressed their deep pain for the death sentence given to an innocent child. The Platform also condemned the forcible removal of the minor girl from her mother.

As the girl was initially given shelter in a Church-run facility, the Catholic Church came under attack from pro-abortion groups and radical feminist outfits.
