SW News: The US state of Texas is witnessing a historical event where some Christian believers are giving life to the New Testament by reciting the entire verses from all its books from memory. Seven believers led by Professor Tom Meyer, nicknamed 'Bible Memory Man,' are engaged in this fascinating adventure, which will conclude on Saturday, October 15.
The Great Recital event is hosted by the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) and is underway in ICR's Discovery Center in Dallas. Meyer and six other Bible memory specialists are reading all 27 New Testament books from memory, verse by verse.
Meyer remarked that the recital is a "public proclamation of the word of God right before the midterms," It offers an opportunity to share God's Word with others and prepare its hearers.
He called out the need for the recital, emphasizing that he wanted people to understand that the Bible was intended for more than just eyes. He said, "This nation that calls itself one nation, under God — you can now hear what God requires of thee as an individual and as a nation, and then vote accordingly."
In an interview with Fox News, the other participants expressed joy in participating in the historic event.
