SW News: In what is seen as yet another impact of the spread of the culture of death, the number of reported abortions in Germany has increased by almost 10 percent in 2022, the highest level in a decade. According to the Federal Statistical Office data, Germany has had a 9.9 percent surge in pregnancy termination procedures in the past year.
The data shows that 104,000 abortions were reported in 2022 compared to 94,600 in the previous year. As per the report, the number of abortions in 2022 was more than that from 2014 to 2020, when the number ranged from 99,000 to 101,000. The number of reported abortions in the fourth quarter of 2022 was about 26,100, 7.1% more than in the same period the previous year. Furthermore, as per the report, the highest number of abortions was recorded in 2012, with 106,800 cases.
However, the data doesn't provide an apparent reason for the increase in abortion procedures.
In 4% of cases, medical reasons, including the mother's risk to life and sexual offenses, were to blame for the abortion. The other 96% of reported abortions were performed following the alleged counseling regulation. According to the Federal Statistics Office, in 2022, seven out of ten women, about 70%, who had abortions, were between the ages of 18 and 34, while about 19% were between the ages of 35 and 39.
