SW News: Some surprises fill us with joy and excitement, while others leave us perplexed or anxious. For one young Catholic couple in Michigan, USA, their pregnancy scan at 10 weeks bought surprising news that could have been devastating for most expecting parents. When first-time parents Nicole LeBlanc and her husband Austin discovered that conjoined twins were in her womb, they considered it nothing short of a “blessing” to have “special twins.” The twins share a heart, liver, diaphragm, bowels, and umbilical cord.

In her Facebook post, Nicole shared how despite having a malformed heart, the twins were growing appropriately for their gestational age. She wrote, “We don’t know how much time we will have with our babies, but as of now, I will have a C-section at 35 weeks and let God be in control of the situation.” The babies are now 29 weeks old and currently show no signs of heart failure.

“The babies I am carrying are perfectly made in God’s image and likeness and if they are not meant to be here on earth for a while, I know their story is impactful and I would like people to know my babies are alive and that they exist!” Nicole said to SW News.

Nicole and her husband Austin are devout Catholics and believe their family has a very special mission to “save as many babies as possible from the evils of abortion.” “We are the Prolife Generation,” she wrote in the post. The young couple finds comfort and strength in Holy Mass and praying the Rosary.

A small business owner, Nicole, shares her story of love and hope on Twitter and Instagram as well.
