SW News: Recent studies by the American Bible Society reveal that Christians whose religion is based on the Bible and who have trust in God do well in all spheres of life.
The Bible Society announced this conclusion in Chapter 3 of its State of the Bible 2023 survey, which was based on 2,761 responses from people in the United States gathered between January 5 and January 30, with a margin of error of +/- 2.59 percentage points.
Jeffery Fulks, Randy Petersen, and John Farquhar Plake, all of whom have doctorates, contributed to the study. Inquiries were made into a variety of topics, including participants' happiness, mental and physical health, sense of purpose, moral character, social support network, and financial stability.
According to John Farquhar Plake, Chief Ministry Insights and Innovation Officer of the American Bible Society, the study backs up what millions of Christians have seen firsthand: the Bible can make individuals happier, healthier, and more complete.
According to Plake, Christians who actively pursue God via His Word have a more optimistic attitude toward life's ups and downs because they have absorbed the Bible's message of hope. According to the study's conclusions, the three most significant aspects of obtaining success in life are forgiving others, being grateful to God, and putting one's spiritual gifts to work for God.
The American Bible Society's State of the Bible research team teamed with the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago to conduct a nationally representative survey of American adults on Bible, religion, and Church-related topics.
