SW News: In the United States, the House of Representatives has passed a resolution that flays the acts of vandalism and attacks on churches, pro-life groups and groups. The House also demanded the Biden administration probe and prosecute these crimes.

House Resolution 1233 was introduced by Republican Mike Johnson of Louisiana. It reiterates “the sanctity of life and the important role pro-life facilities, groups, and churches play in supporting pregnant women, infants, and families.”
The Biden administration, according to the resolution, should deploy the necessary law enforcement authorities to protect the safety of the public and the rights of pro-life groups and churches in the country. On January 11, the resolution was passed 222-209. It had the support of just three Democrats. While 219 Republicans voted in support of the resolution, three abstained.

Republicans brought in the resolution in the wake of increasing attacks on pro-life facilities, churches by pro-choice activists. The attacks intensified after the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June last year much to the chagrin of pro-abortion supporters and advocates. There were scores of attacks and acts of vandalism on churches and pro-life establishments following the leak of a draft of the opinion of justices in the verdict that overturned Roe v. Wade.

The resolution passed by the House mentions 30 such incidents that took place last year across the United States, adding that little was done by the administration to stem the rising tide of violence.

In the United States, there are 3,000 pregnancy care centers and they were instrumental in saving the lives of 800,000 unborn children over the past five years. This figure was based on studies conducted by Charlotte Lozier Institute, the research wing of SBA Pro-Life America.
