SW News: An American parental rights group has come out against a Colorado health facility for promoting a story hour event that is led by transvestites performing in front of children with autism. Parents Defending Education (PDE) has condemned Seven Dimensions Behavioral Health for sponsoring the Drag Story Hour: The Future is Our Kids event.

PDE president Nicole Neily said it was “unconscionable that medical providers would target programming at a vulnerable population” while speaking to The Daily Signal. She said that the group did contact several school districts to ascertain if they had any formal tie-up with the clinic. Despite the fact that the organization associates with the school leadership and teachers, their contract is due to expire later this month.

She said that “rather than upholding its oath to do no harm, the clinic is betraying the trust of families in need who have come to them for help”. A  concerned parent raised the alarm about the show and alerted the PDE. The so-called drag show contained stories, activities and age-appropriate performances by five cross-dressing artists. They also read stories such as Auntie Uncle-Drag Queen Hero, The Girl Who Thought In Pictures and If You’re a Kid Like Gavin to the children.

CBN News had reported that The Southern Poverty Law Center, a left-wing civil rights organization, had recently branded almost a dozen parental rights groups, including PDE, as “extremist hate” organizations for raising their voice against sexual materials in children’s curricula. Nicole added saying, radical progressives are pushing policies opposed by the vast majority of parents, and parents are pushing back hard.

“Progressive activists would have everyone--especially in the media--believe that parental engagement constitutes extremism. Such deception is a slap in the face to the millions of parents who have to sign permission slips for Advil and field trips but are now deprived of deeply personal information about their children, impeding their right to raise their kids as they see fit,” she said.
