SW News: In his homily at the Manila Cathedral for the start of the nine-day Simbang Gabi mass, Manila Archbishop Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle said that Christmas is not about decorations, gifts and money but about the love of God. He urged the faithful to take every opportunity to witness to the good news of salvation. Cardinal Tagle said that “We should give witness to Jesus at all times, even if it’s not Christmas.” He encouraged  youth people to focus on Christ. Simbang Gabi is nine-day series of Masses practiced by Filipino Catholics in anticipation of Christmas.
