SW News: Pope Francis has appointed Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, the Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, as a member of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue.

The Pope has also appointed Cardinal Dieudonné Nzapalainga, archbishop of Bangui, Cardinal Louis-Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun, vicar apostolic of Vientiane, Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo, archbishop of Jakarta and military ordinary for Indonesia, Cardinal Jean-Claude Höllerich, archbishop of Luxembourg, and Cardinal Michael Czerny, under-secretary of the Section for Migrants and Refugees of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development to the council.

Several bishops, from all over the world, were also named as members of the council.

Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot is the current president of the council.

He has been serving in that position since 25 May 2019.
