Hungarian PM stresses need to have “family-friendly, conservative powers” in Europe

SW News: On the first day of the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit, Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban stressed the need for "family-friendly, conservative powers" in Europe and listed the most important demographic concerns confronting the world today.
In his speech, Orban began by drawing a parallel between Italy and Hungary, stressing that both countries have the same sense of the importance of the family in determining Europe's future. He quoted Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who said, "It is important for a child to have both a mother and a father."
The Hungarian lawmaker believes that the liberal world community's censure of the Hungarian government's family-friendly, traditional, and loyal policies would have little influence. Orban asserted that progressive liberals first pushed the idea that the individual is supreme and that nothing can beat them. Whatever or anybody comes in the way of their happiness, including tradition, family, nation, homeland, and, most significantly, religious belief, they see as tyrants.
He emphasized the significance of fulfilling future obligations, especially to children and civilization, and noted that the meeting is taking place at a premier conference on home, family, and motherhood. According to the Prime Minister, Hungary's demographic strategy has five goals. First, to promote reproduction. The second step is the building of houses. Third, the adoption of mother-friendly family policies. The fourth goal is to make the nation more family-friendly. Finally, protection for families should be made a law.
He said that since the implementation of the Family House Creation Allowance, one out of every five families has acquired a new house, including those who did not previously own a home and those who have enlarged their present home to accommodate extra children.
According to him, the Hungarian family policy has resulted in a large rise in the birth rate. It is claimed that as a direct result of this policy shift, an extra 154,000 children have been born.
He concluded by expressing confidence that pro-family forces would triumph in upcoming national elections and that "we, as a group, will be successful in the European Parliament elections scheduled for next spring."
