SW News: As finishing touches are being given to the preparations to welcome Pope Francis in the Hungarian capital Budapest on April 28, the official song of the Apostolic Visit has been released. Titled “Camino, Christ is Our Future”, the song was commissioned by the Catholic bishops’ conference of the Central European nation.

It was performed by several celebrities from the country such as singer and actor Attila Dolhai, young singing sensation Bogi Nagy and two-time EmeRTon award-winning singer Szandi. He is the youngest platinum-selling singer in Hungary. Also appearing in the music video are composer Marton Vizy, Renata Szocs and Gergo Danielfy.

Those who worked on the cover of the musical item Camino included Dolhai, Szűcs, Szandi, Nagy, Dánielfy, and Márton Vizy. “Camino” was originally composed by Vizy and David Agoston Toth and it was originally part of the musical on St Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. It has been given a symphonic accompaniment for the visit of the Holy Father to Hungary. It will be performed on April 29 by Dolhai, Szandi, Nagy, Szőcs, Dánielfy, and Vizy, along with Forráspont Band and the members of the 4 Akkord Show Chorus.
Meanwhile, a special chasuble has been designed for the Holy Father and all concelebrating prelates and priests during the Holy Mass at Kossuth Square. It was designed by the artist Orsolya Fecske SSS who was commissioned by the Hungarian Catholic Bishops Conference. White and gold colors dominate the vestment and they signify the Easter season. The same design is reflected on the stole, miter, cope and dalmatics.

The design of the chasuble is based on the papal visit’s motto: Christ is Our Future. The risen Christ is depicted as a white contour of light on a golden backdrop. There are two streams from His heart symbolizing blood and water, which together form a river. The blue color of the river is the same as that of the sky above Jesus and it forms a bridge between Earth and Heaven and it alludes to the Blessed Mother.
