SW News: Bishop Fidencio López Plaza of Querétaro, Mexico, delivered some much-needed happiness to the Telethon Children's Hospital of Oncology (Hito) on Friday, August 25th. He came to provide spiritual solace and support to 38 young patients by administering the sacrament of confirmation to them.

According to a Facebook post by the Diocese of Querétaro, volunteer catechists who worked with the local health office provided the necessary catechesis to children, teens, and young people ahead of the Confirmation.

Furthermore, several of the young people got the sacred anointing with Chrism in the intensive care unit given their precarious health condition. Bishop López reminded the people of their relationship with Christ during the anointing process. They were also encouraged to seek a closer relationship with God, as the bishop requested the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Before the celebration started, the bishop and accompanying priests took advantage of the opportunity to anoint additional hospitalized patients, and while they interacted with people's families, they showered blessings on the staff who were there.

Individuals received the anointing on their foreheads and palms during the sacred rite. This holy deed strives to promote the Holy Spirit's direction, which is sometimes compared to God's right hand infused with a love finger.
