SW News: Last week, the Ecuadorian diocese of Daule witnessed the dignified burial of the mortal remains of as many as 96 aborted babies recovered from the streets. The requiem Mass for the unborn was offered by Bishop Krzysztof Kudlawiec of Daule at the La Aurora Camposantos and Services Peace Park.

After the requiem Mass, which was attended by pro-life supporting believers, the remains of the babies were taken to the Mausoleum of the Faceless Virgin where they were interred. The funeral service was held under the auspices of the Movimiento Mariano Fundacion Armada Blanca.

The outfit hinted that the Holy Mass was offered in the fourth week of Advent given the special significance of the date. On those days, a purple candle is lit to symbolize the last week of prayer and penance during the wait for the birth of Jesus Christ.

The mortal remains of the babies were taken to the cemetery with the assistance of the National Police, the State Attorney General’s Office, the Archdiocese of Quito, the Diocese of Daule and the Voice of the Unborn Campaign.
On the solemnity of the Holy Innocents on December 28, Bishop Kudlawiec would concelebrate Holy Mass with the Auxiliary Bishop of Guayaquil the Most Rev. Gustavo Rosales Escobar for the souls of these 96 babies.
