SW News: After the huge success of the movie on St Mother Teresa, which hit the theatres for just two days recently, it will once again reach theaters in November. This was announced by the executive producer of the movie Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus Patrick Kelly, as the movie is produced by the world’s largest Catholic fraternal order.
“Mother Teresa: No Greater Love” is the newest documentary produced by the Knights of Columbus, and it had a successful two-night theater run on its first release. The movie is part of Fathom Events’ “Saint Series”, a series of movies that portray the life of saints. According to Fathom Events, the movie about the saint who founded the Missionaries of Charity made more than $1.2 million at the box office.
In a press release, Supreme Knight Kelly said that the profit from the movie would be donated for charitable works through which they can further promote the life of the saint who spent her life on the streets serving the poor. He added that the movie would inspire youngsters to continue the mission of St Mother Teresa.
The film is all about the life of the 20th-century saint who traveled across the streets of Calcutta in India and cared for the unwanted and the sick. According to the organizers, the movie will return on-screen on November 2 in the US, UK, and Canada. And it will return to the US theaters on November 7 for the Spanish edition of the same.
The comments of people who were involved in the movie are included in the documentary, with Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly of the Knights of Columbus; Bishop Robert Barron of Winona-Rochester; Jim Wahlberg, a filmmaker who embraced the Catholic faith because of Mother Teresa; Jim Towey, a friend of the saint; Father Brian Kolodiejchuk, the postulator of Mother Teresa’s cause for canonization; and Father Donald Haggerty of the Archdiocese of New York to name some.
