SW News: Since the outbreak of the Ukrainian war, various Christian organizations and relief agencies have been providing the citizens with their necessities. Nine months after the invasion, the situation of the Eastern European country is deteriorating. Against this backdrop, the role of the North Carolina-based evangelical and relief organization Samaritan's Purse comes to light.

According to data provided by Samaritan's Purse, the charity, to date, has assisted in distributing more than 100 million pounds of food in the war-torn region.

During an interview with Fox Digital, the CEO of the North Carolina-based aid organization, Franklin Graham, said that Samaritan's Purse has been purchasing and bringing food into Ukraine every week since the outbreak of the war. Franklin Graham stated, "As winter sets in, things in Ukraine are only getting worse. Many areas have lost electricity, and food is impossible to buy in eastern parts of the country [that are] closer to the fighting." He added that the World Food Program also supported them.

Separately, the Vatican has urged the faithful to provide dresses that could assist the Ukrainian people, who are going through terrible hardship due to the harsh weather. To help the people of Ukraine get through the current "winter emergency," the Department for Charity, headed by Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, has asked for support. The aid obtained will then be transported to Kyiv via truck as soon as possible.

The Vatican Department has urged all people of goodwill to give thermal shirts "suitable for maintaining body temperature, for men, women or children."

In addition, since the beginning of the war, the Vatican has supplied medical supplies and basic requirements multiple times through Cardinal Krajewski, the papal almoner. Furthermore, the Polish Cardinal has visited the conflict-affected region four times since the outbreak of war, assuring the Pope's closeness to the people.
