SW News: More than a dozen website domains belonging to organizations, companies, and charities affiliated with the Lebanese terror outfit Hezbollah have been seized by the United States, said the Department of Justice on Thursday. Over the years, Washington has imposed sanctions on the Iranian-backed group's members, associates, and linked businesses and organizations as well as designating them as terrorist organizations.

The 13 website domains that were seized include several URLs for the group's al-Manar television, senior officials Ibrahim al-Sayed, Ali Damush, and deputy secretary general Naim Kassem, as well as affiliated charities the Martyrs' Foundation and the Emdad Committee for Islamic Charity.

Hezbollah has committed hundreds of terrorist attacks around the world, from Europe and the Americas to the Middle East. The attacks are always in sync with the agenda of its patron Iran – murder, terrorize, inflame, and destroy.

Human Rights watchdog 'Human Rights Watch' said that corrupt and incompetent Lebanese authorities have plunged the country into one of the worst economic crises in modern times. Nearly 80 percent of Lebanon’s population lives under the poverty line, and the government has repeatedly delayed promised reforms and social protection plans. Hospitals are struggling to provide life-saving care amid the economic crisis, and electricity blackouts last up to 22 hours per day. Security forces have at times used excessive and lethal force against protesters. Women continue to face systematic discrimination and violence.

Ahead of the opening of the 2019 UN General Assembly, the American Jewish Community renewed its call for the international community and especially the European Union to label the entirety of Hezbollah a terrorist organization. The effort included the release of a series of materials that highlight the need and rationale for the designation. It is important to note that most European countries have not made individual designations and are relying on the EU restrictions when dealing with the organization as opposed to the Netherlands, and now Britain.
