Americans who read the Bible consistently are more forgiving, says study

SW News: According to the latest study, Americans who read the Holy Bible frequently are more capable of forgiving than others who do not often read the same. According to the American Bible Society's poll, they divided believers into two groups, 'Scripture Engaged' where the people are very much engaged with Bible and read them frequently; and those in the category of 'Bible disengaged' do not frequently engage themselves with Bible.
The study shows that 94 percent of Americans who were "Scripture engaged" agreed that they were able to "sincerely forgive, regardless of whether they ever ask for forgiveness or not." Only 6 percent disagreed with the same.
Meanwhile, 59 percent of those individuals who are not 'Scripture engaged' also supported the statement on forgiveness, while 40 percent disagreed. The difference between the Scripture-engaged and Bible-disengaged people can be seen in the number of people strongly supporting the statement.
Only 11% of Americans who were not connected with the Bible strongly agreed with the statement, compared to nearly half (47%) of those who were. The study was included in the most recent State of the Bible: USA 2022 report from the American Bible Society.
