SW News: Catholics in Florida in the United States have put up several billboards featuring the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus across the state to mark the month of June, which is dedicated to the Sacred Heart in the Catholic Church.

The billboards also include the image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. “June is devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus,” the billboards read. The images of a billboard that was put up in the city of Ocala were posted on social media by Ocala resident Ruby Galatolo. “Praise God, we did it! Thank you all who donated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Billboard during the month of June,” she said.

According to her, “the second is off the I75 highway (main highway North and South of Florida) and the third one is on the 408 in the heart of the downtown Orlando area.” “It seems most people have forgotten what the month of June is truly dedicated to for the last few centuries and this is just meant as a reminder for those who may have forgotten,” Galatolo’s wrote.


This year the Catholic Church will celebrate the Feast Day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 16. It has been celebrated annually 19 days following Pentecost Sunday.
