SW News: During a "Moms for Liberty" event in Charleston, South Carolina, on Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis spoke out against LGBTQ indoctrination in public schools, pledging to restore classrooms to "normal." Moms for Liberty is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to protect parental rights at all levels of government in order to preserve America's future well-being.

The governor criticized the practice of letting children choose their pronouns in the classroom, saying that it became popular "two hours ago." The governor went on to say, "And we're going to do regular school like everyone has done for the entirety of our nation's history up until about two hours ago."

DeSantis addressed "woke" ideals in public schools at a stop on his "Florida Blueprint" tour in Charleston. During this trip, DeSantis will have the opportunity to talk directly to conservatives in other states about his work as governor to make Florida an attractive place to live.

One of the most important components of his conservative strategy, according to the governor, is the eradication of "radical LGBTQ propaganda" and other "woke" notions from public schools.

Since assuming office, the DeSantis administration has targeted the removal of wokeness from state institutions. The Florida GOP has restricted schools from disseminating LGBTQ periodicals with graphic sexual material. Meanwhile, leftists have voiced outrage over this enforcement, accusing the DeSantis administration of placing book limits on public school libraries.

Ron DeSantis' administration dubbed him "Education Governor" in 2020 because of his ambition to make significant changes to the state's educational system. Three years later, as part of his fight against "woke ideology," he founded and is active in a variety of educational initiatives.
