Advent is a season of hope, preparation, and joy as we await the birth of Jesus Christ. This Advent, Hallow, a Catholic meditation and prayer app, is inviting the faithful to prepare our hearts by participating in the Advent Pray25 Challenge featuring the works of author C.S. Lewis. According to its official website, Liam Neeson, Jonathan Roumie and Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT, will lead the reflections for the fifth annual Pray25 Advent prayer challenge. 

‘Advent with C.S. Lewis’, the four-week-long prayer series, will be based on different works of the author including, ‘The Four Loves’, ‘Mere Christianity’, ‘The Great Divorce’, and more. The prayer challenge will begin on December 4. Neeson voiced the character of Aslan, a lion, in the film adaptations of Lewis's "The Chronicles of Narnia.” Roumie is well known for playing Jesus Christ in the TV show ‘The Chosen.’ Heidland is a well-known author, podcaster, and Catholic speaker.

In a statement issued to Fox News Digital, Neeson said, “I've partnered together with Hallow for this project to help guide folks through some beautiful meditations,” adding that it was "an honor to journey through them with the community on the app." Expressing his joy to partner with Liam Neeson and Sr. Miriam James, Roumie said, "The content is fantastic and will really impact people and help them find peace during this hectic time of year."

The organizers of the initiative have informed that Advent 25 will be focusing on the three comings of Jesus Christ, with the first being his coming into our hearts. It will also focus on His Second Coming at the end of the time, and as an infant in Bethlehem. They further said that this daily prayer challenge will help the faithful to quiet down their lives amidst the busy daily life during Advent. It will in turn help them focus on what is beyond what the world offers.

The organizers also shared their hope that with the launch of Advent Pray25 with C S Lewis, they can also involve children. With ‘Mary on the Mantel’ they intend to inspire children by rediscovering the Holy Mother and help them to ‘learn how she was chosen by God, what a gift Jesus is to the world, and encourage children of all ages to pray with her’.
