US school district encourages child abuse complaints against parents who resist gender transition

SW News: The Cincinnati Board of Education's Policy and Equity Committee in the United States has asked public schools in Cincinnati, Ohio, to consider filing child abuse reports against parents who exhibit signs of being unsupportive of their kid's gender identity change.
According to Fox News, the concept was included in the minutes of the Cincinnati Board of Education's 2021 meeting, along with other ideas, such as keeping the child's gender dysphoria hidden from their parents.
According to the document, this is due to the district's promotion of "social and emotional learning," a strategy that prioritizes children's "physical, social, and psychological needs" above academic endeavors.
It was reported that the letter was a joint effort by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the National Center for Transgender Equality, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the Gender Spectrum, and the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
Meanwhile, Nicki Neily, founder and president of Parents Defending Education, believes it is unethical for a public school system to recklessly throw families into the "woodchipper" of the child protective services bureaucracy based solely on the presumption that parents support or oppose a child's gender identity. She claims that it adds to the already overcrowded child welfare system and forces parents to "prove" their love.
Republican state politicians in Ohio, however, have sponsored House Bill 8, often known as the Parental Bill of Rights, to remove several of the limitations stated in the Cincinnati Board of Education statements. Despite the fact that the letter was sent to school authorities across the district, the district claims that it does not reflect the Board of Education's "official" policy.
