SW News:
Hundreds of Catholics are expected to take part in the upcoming Corpus Christi Eucharistic procession through the streets of Brisbane city in Australia on Sunday, June 11. The procession will be a testament of faith in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Hosted by the Archdiocese of Brisbane, the procession will begin and end at the Cathedral of Saint Stephen. It will feature prayers, rosary, hymns and the Benediction with the proceedings led by Archbishop Mark Coleridge. The event is expected to be a colorful spectacle with groups from across the archdiocese, including parishes and Catholic associations, making their presence felt.
On the eve of the procession, there will be a vigil night of adoration from 7 pm until 8 am the following day in the Mary MacKillop Chapel. As part of the Corpus Christi celebrations, a Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition will also be held at the Francis Rush Centre in the precincts of the cathedral. It comprises photographs of more than 150 Eucharistic miracles from around the globe.
The expo is open to the public from 11 AM to 5.30 PM on Saturday and from 9 AM to 5 Pm on Sunday. Communities and parishes have been requested to attend the procession with banners displaying their patron saint or the parish logo.
