SW News: On March 29, Bishop Domenico Sorrentino consecrated the Diocese of Assisi to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, imploring the powerful intercession of the Virgin Mary for protection from COVID-19.  The Holy Mass and consecration took place in the Shrine of Spogliazione behind closed doors. The bishop reminded the faithful that, "The pandemic can take away our churches, but it cannot take away our houses and our hearts. Houses must become families of Jesus, families of the Gospel." The bishop strengthened the faithful by sharing the Church's trust and hope in Mary. The bishop concluded the consecration by imploring the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
