SW News: Pope Francis has donated 35 respirators to 13 countries in a gesture intended to show his closeness and support to those suffering with COVID-19. The countries benefitting from the Holy Father's generosity are: Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Venezuela, Cameroon, Bangladesh, Ukraine and Zimbabwe. The papal donation has been facilitated by the Vatican’s Secretariat of State in conjunction with the Office of Papal Charities. Earlier this year, the Holy Father contributed over 30 ventilators to other countries including Ecuador, Italy, and Spain.
