SW News: Pope Francis has written a new encyclical on the topic of fraternity and social friendship.  Entitled “Fratelli Tutti” – Italian for “Brothers All” – the letter to the universal Church was signed on Saturday at the tomb of Saint Francis of Assisi in the Italian province of Umbria. It was then published the following day, which was the Feast of Saint Francis. Within the pages of the 43,000-word document, the Holy Father states that the COVID-19 pandemic has proven the failure of the world to work together during a crisis. Thus, he calls for more human fraternity, solidarity and a rejection of war. Fratelli Tutti is the present Holy Father’s third encyclical.
