SW News: Mexican actor and pro-life advocate Eduardo Verástegui criticized Argentine President Alberto Fernandez for legalizing abortion in Argentina.

“I love Argentina very much, and what happened on December 30 hurts me. In case all the losses of 2020 were not enough, President Fernandez made a pact with death, legalizing abortion that will kill more Argentines than Covid,” Eduardo tweeted.

In an earlier tweet, Eduardo had accused the president of promoting genocide, and asked him to “repent and rectify.”

The new abortion law that came to effect on December 30, 2020, allows unborn babies up to 14 weeks of pregnancy to be aborted for any reason. Earlier abortion was allowed only when the mother’s health was at risk or in cases of rape.

The law came to effect after 38 senators voted in favor, 29 against, and one abstention.
