SW News: The actor and producer Eduardo Verástegui has been praying the rosary through his Facebook page daily since March 22 for end of the coronavirus pandemic.

But for the Feast day of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th, he dreamt of gathering about 50 thousand people through various platforms for the online rosary. Through social networks he invited all people, especially those from Mexico and Spain to join him on May 13th to pray for the sick and the deceased.

However, surpassing his calculations, more than 200 thousand people took part in the online rosary through Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

"We are going to pray the rosary, what more can we ask for, I thank God for this moment, thank you for this moment of prayer, for the best time invested, without a doubt, prayer," he said before the praying the rosary.

People from Italy, Spain, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, Puerto Rico, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic, among other countries, were present for the online rosary, as well as Catholic groups, priests and laity who promoted the movement.

“All this reflects that there are many who seek God in the midst of this adversity and put themselves in the hands of God,” Eduardo said in his Facebook post.

Eduardo thanked everyone for the overwhelming response and participation and said that he would continue the online rosary daily at 1 pm Mexico time.
