California Governor Newsom inks laws to make state a sanctuary for abortions

SW News: In what seems to be an effort to weaken the pro-life wave in America, the state of California has moved forward to make the state an abortion sanctuary for women who wish to terminate their pregnancy. Various pro-life advocates have denounced California’s support for the culture of death.
With more pro-choice legislation, California is upping the ante to become a haven for killing babies in the womb as many other states are passing legislation to restrict and criminalize abortions.
On September 26, Governor Gavin Newsom inked additional bills that will increase access to contraception and abortion providers in California while protecting people from legal retaliation. It also bans law enforcement and businesses from collaborating with out-of-state organizations regarding legal abortions in California. The bills were signed following the US Supreme Court's decision to remove the federal constitutionality of abortions across the country.
After signing the pro-abortion bills, the Governor stated, "An alarming number of states continues to outlaw abortion and criminalize women, and it's more important than ever to fight like hell for those who need these essential services. We're doing everything we can to protect people from retaliation for accessing abortion care while also making it more affordable to get contraceptives."
Decrying the pro-abortion measures put forth by the state, various pro-life advocates have responded to Fox News on the same.
Katie Glenn, State Policy Director for SBA Pro-Life America, condemned the legislation stating, "The California law could also be read to make it impossible for a woman suing for medical malpractice to get access to her own records."
Lila Rose, president of the pro-life organization Live Action, who also hails from California, said that the Governor only focused on a minor group who prefers abortions in all cases rather than a majority who prefers abortions with certain restrictions. She said, "Because the media fawns over Gavin Newsom in California because he has so many friends in the institutions here, they're covering for him and lying to the people of California. It's a terrible disservice to justice in this state."
Alongside, Erin Hawley, a representative of the Alliance Defending Freedom law firm, criticized the legislation blocking any investigations into infant deaths
