SW News: In the Diocese of Orange in California, USA, a virtual four-day summit on St Joseph will begin on September 30. Forty presenters will be leading the conference, and they will be teaching the spiritual importance of the foster father of Jesus Christ.
The summit is being organized by the Spirit Filled Hearts Ministry from September 30 to October 3. The Ministry is an organization with the Orange diocese dedicated to new evangelization. The founder of the summit, Deacon Steve Greco, in a press release on September 22, termed St. Joseph as “the greatest male saint in the Catholic Church.”
A trailer was released by the diocese saying, “St. Joseph can have a powerful influence in your life and wants to be your spiritual father.” The trailer further mentions that St Joseph wants to give believers that protection. But people need to learn how to call upon him in prayer and learn how to foster a better devotion to him.” The trailer also tells that attending the summit will help believers understand St. Joseph in a better light and invite him into their lives, their family life, and in the Church.
Some of the prominent speakers that will be present for the summit include Fr. Donald Calloway, who composed the Consecration to St Joseph; Cardinal Raymond Burke; Cardinal Seán O'Malley of Boston; Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York; Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco; Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City; Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles; Bishop Gerald Barbarito of Palm Beach; Bishop Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Orange and theologian Scott Hahn. In his apostolic letter, the Holy Father Pope Francis marked December 8, 2020, as the beginning of the year of St. Joseph and said that it would end on December 8, 2021.
