SW News: Hundreds of faithful participated in the Eucharistic procession that took place in Washington DC on Saturday, May 20. The procession was led by Fr. Charles Trullols of the Catholic Information Center. The Eucharistic procession was preceded by a Mass celebrated by Fr Trullols.

The faithful were seen reciting the Rosary along the procession route. It passed by Lafayette Square, a park located north of the White House. The conclusion of the procession was at CIC around noon.

“Yesterday the CIC’s chapel extended beyond our physical walls onto the streets and sidewalks of our nation’s capital for our first annual Eucharistic Procession. This would not have happened without firstly the grace of God, but also the work of our many volunteers (both clerical and laity) who sacrificed time from their busy DC schedules—and their sleep. Most importantly, our volunteers put in their hearts, energy, prayers, and elbow grease into organizing this massive event for God’s glory,” the Catholic Information Center said on social media following the procession. Fr Charles Trullols serves as the director of the CIC, which is operated by Opus Dei.

“The Catholic Information Center is committed to making the Catholic Church alive in the hearts and minds of men and women living and working in our nation’s capital,” the CIC says on its website, adding that “Through a variety of spiritual, intellectual, and professional programs, the CIC offers the tools to live an integrated life and to engage in all areas of human endeavors.”
