SW News: Praying for the protection of the life of the unborn, Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone of San Francisco has led a rosary procession to a Planned Parenthood flagship clinic on Bush Street that is due to open soon. About 120 people, including members of the Missionaries of Charity, LifeRunners, and 40 Days for Life, participated in the Holy Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral and rosary procession on January 9th morning.

Addressing the faithful during his homily, Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone thanked them for being “a light in the midst of darkness" and "advocates.” He exhorted the attendees to offer fasting and prayers "to defeat the powers of darkness."  

Following the rosary walk, Archbishop Cordileone sprinkled exorcised holy water in front of the clinic building. He urged the people to come to the site every Saturday or during the week to pray the rosary and St. Michael’s prayer.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco has announced its intention to celebrate Mass and organize rosary procession every first Saturday to pray for the protection of the life of the unborn.
